For four decades I have listened to stories of struggle, eros, and transformation, and I have written them down.
I founded the nation's first LGBT Specialization in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University and co-founded the Colors LGBTQ Youth Counseling Center. My work draws on Freud and Jung, gay liberation, feminism, recovery, and the long tradition of meaning-making that runs from the Bronx of my childhood to the consulting room.

Freud, Jung, the unconscious, shadow, and the alchemy of change, taught for the curious rather than the credentialed. Bring your questions and your dreams.
Every offering here is part of one path. You come to write, to study, to undo a little shame, and the strongest of that work has somewhere to go.
